Changing our day-to-day actions may be easier than ever imagined. By meditating on and repeating motivational and inspirational quotes, we are better prepared to transform our thought patterns, behaviors and in turn, alter our lives.
Okay let's get started.
If we believe something to be easy, we find hardly, if any struggle in accomplishing it. However, if we imagine something to be difficult to accomplish, at that moment our struggle becomes more obvious. In fact, if we imagine that it is hard to change a identifiable behavior, then we will continuously find experiences that will justify that belief.
Take this for instance. We wake up one morning and decide that:
"This is the day I start losing weight. When things get challenging, I will not grasp for junk food, but as a replacement for I will focus on something else to keep my mind occupied. It'll be hard at first, but I'm ready to give it a try."
If you stay with this thought pattern and belief, don't be surprised to notice yourself struggling more often than not. I am sure you are asking yourself why is this?
Well, If we look at this illustration carefully we find a couple of thinking patterns and beliefs already in place. We have determined to do something helpful for ourselves, but we do ourselves a disservice by choosing particular negative thought patterns, beliefs and words that go along with it.
This is what we have told ourselves,
"When things get challenging...." (This is already assuming that there will be challenging moments! Not good!)
"It'll be tough at first..."(This is already assuming it will be challenging at first! Not good again!)
"...But I'm going to give it a try."(In the movie "The Karate Kid"..."There is no "try", there is only "do". Again not good!) Now there are thousands of products out at hand that will help people in losing weight. A number of, if not all of them, may work for various people at various stages of their goal. But for most people who have convinced themselves that losing weight is challenging, a number of products may fall short when our thought patterns are stronger than our desire to change.
This is how I have changed my behaviors that I do not like.
I recently lost 10 lbs in about 5 weeks. I didn't like the way I looked, felt or even thought for that matter. I needed to change and take action.
My first step was, I realized that I had to modify my way of thinking with reference to losing weight. My old thought patterns were no longer working for me. My thoughts were like little tiny pictures that I projected in my mind of how heavy I was. I no longer wanted these pictures or thought patterns a part of my life. I had to choose a thought pattern and belief that would be easier to think about.
I chose this thought,
"Losing weight is easier than I thought."
Perhaps not the most ideal for everyone but it worked for me.
The second thing, I chose a word I wanted to focus on for that day, week or month to help me in accomplishing my goal (Start with just a day, or just an hour for that matter. Keep it simple.) The word I chose needed to be in relation to the change I want to make. For illustration, I chose the word "FOCUS", as I felt that that's what I desired to think about most of time; focusing more on losing weight than gaining it. Choose any word as long as it relates to your circumstances. (Attitude, Energy, Action, Believe...)
Then I scoured the net for motivational and inspirational quotes that resonated within me that related to that specific word I chose. Quotes that I could easily remember, especially the ones that were directly related to what I wanted to accomplish.
This point is really the most important.
I needed quotes that were powerful enough to transform my thought patterns the second I read them. Quotes that REALLY spoke to me when I my eyes fell upon them. Quotes that forced me to stop and think for a moment. Quotes that had that extra "edge" where my mind said, "Yes. This is one."
These are all signs of a quote that held power for me. I really focused on these:
"All that we are is the result of what we have thought." Buddha
"The only way to discover the limits of the possible, is to go beyond them into them impossible." Arthur C. Clarke
"It's not what you achieve in the end that matters, it's who you become in the process." Author Unknown
In fact, I found tons of quotes that I resorted to from time to time, but these are the ones that worked best for me. They spoke who I wanted to become as I worked towards my goal, of who I was, what I wanted to accomplish.
I wrote them down. I carried these quotes with me everywhere. I read them and meditated on them each time I had the opportunity to. I started working out because of one of the quotes. I focused on them at work, home and everywhere I went. I focused on these powerful quotes to help me FOCUS on what I wanted.
Because I changed my thought patterns, over time, I can honestly say I am 10 lbs lighter and a whole lot happier. Yes, I'll be the first to admit that accomplishing the goal involved more than just thinking but it all began with my thoughts. The thoughts then permeated into my actions. (Now I need to FOCUS on maintaining that weight, so for me a whole new thought pattern begins.) I have started to read more about nutrition and joined a program that will help me focus on other goals and life dreams.
Okay so here is what you need to do again:
1. Decided to change your way of thinking about a behavior, making it easier for you to think about it. Put it into simple terms that are easy to understand.
2. Choose a word to focus on to change that behavior for a period of time.
3. Find a minimum of three motivational or inspirational quotes related to that particular word that are powerful enough to change your current thinking patterns the moment you read them. Meditate on them and repeat them, silently or out loud, every chance you get.
Be patient with yourself and expect to make mistakes. Just don't give up if you get off track. Just realize you are not perfect and start again. What ever you do don't stop.
The first step to what you want to accomplish is changing your mind and the thought patterns and beliefs associated with your behavior. Thoughts are the precursor to action, meaning that thoughts occur before any action takes place. That's what needs to be changed first. Your thoughts.
Changing the way you think is so important. You can change the way you give meaning to things and that will also change how you feel. I worked for me so I hope this will also work for you.Big Hugs Tenderspirit

Goal Setting For Kids
By Winsome Coutts
Ever thought about Goal Setting for Kids? Goal setting is one of the most important skills that a person can learn, and the earlier this skill is learned, the more chances there are for successful outcomes in a person’s life. Adults know that goal setting is all about planning, making progress with that plan and reaching final goals or achievements. Once a child learns how to do this, they can use this tool for more success in school and at home.Goal setting for kids will help your children to do well on their school tests and in activities such as sports, music programs or outside academic or arts programs - even at home, and with their personal finances. Teaching your child how to be a goal setter will give them a sense that they are capable of whatever they want to do. That’s valuable! How to help your child be a goal setting child.
Goal setting for children is basically the same as for adults, with a few caveats. Because they are young, and not as emotionally or cognitively developed, goals should be smaller and more tangible. The idea with goal setting for kids is to get them started in the life-long frame of mind for thinking, planning and taking action to achieve results. The basic premises of goal setting remain the same. You can help your child learn to set goals by working through these steps with him:Ask, “What do you want to achieve?” – Help your child describe in specific terms something he would like to do that will take some work/planning (getting an A on his next math test, earning money to purchase a certain kind of bicycle).Ask, “How will you get there?” – Help him plan out the steps to take and the mini-goals to reach on his way to the ultimate goal.Establish accountability – Have your child write down what he wants to achieve and what his plan for getting there is. He can read it each day to help him with personal accountability, and he can share it with you, or another trusted adult to help him stay motivated, inspired and on-track.Achieve – Achievement is not only for the final outcome, but also for the small goals that are met along the way.Review plan/goals/outcomes – Throughout the process and at the end as well, review with your child the plan and how it is going. Do adjustments need to be made? How does he feel about his progress and where it is leading? How was the goal setting experience for him?If your child does not reach his ultimate goal, talk to him about what he learned on the way. He still has learned valuable lessons about planning and goal setting, and he’s probably learned about himself. Encourage him to not give up on dreams that are important to him, but that if one plan doesn’t work, he has to revise the plan and try again.Teaching your child to be a goal-setting child is one of the best things you can do. You will be giving him or her, a valuable gift that they will use for their entire lives, empowering them to achieve wonderful things in every area of life. Goal setting for kids is a skill that will be built on throughout an entire lifetime. For a fantastic resource about Goal Setting for kids, go to http://bit.ly/Cc9LY

Who is Tenderspirit
I have been working in the accounting world for the past 33 years. About 4 years ago I moved to a very remote area with very few people or businesses. I decided that I would take my business online and work remotely. I currently have a couple clients as I decided I would prefer to venture out of the accounting field. I have several online websites as I am also a Reborn Artist. I own the website http://ooakdollart.com/ http://tenderspirits-web-mall.com/ my first attempt at internet marketing, LOL and http://freedomsprocess.com/
I am remarkable because I decided to take a challege from Howie Schwartz at http://www.imremarkable.com and choose the internet niche Goal Setting. Part of the challenge is to document my progress in setting up and marketing for this niche. So you will find my progress here in this blog. The actual website I will be creating the information about Goal Setting will be on
